Debris Pickup

A clear job site, no dumpster rental required

A redone bathroom, an opened-up basement, a replaced kitchen: every project ends with a pile. Broken sheets of drywall, stud offcuts, ripped-up hardwood, chunks of ceramic tile, the old cabinets stacked in the garage, a bathtub blocking the hallway. Nobody wants to spend a Saturday morning loading it all into a borrowed trailer. Gestion Débarras picks up construction debris right where it sits, in the basement or up on the second floor. You show us the pile; our insured, vetted crew takes it from there. We protect freshly laid floors and new door frames, bring everything down the stairs with straps, load the truck and sweep before we leave. No bin rusting in your driveway for a week, no neighbours wondering what's going on. Pricing is transparent and based on the space your debris takes up in the truck: labour, lifting, transport, sorting and disposal are all included. Send a few photos of the pile and you'll have a free estimate within 24 hours. The final total is set at the end, once loading is done. No hidden fees, no surprises.

We pick up construction debris across the heart of Montérégie and the South Shore, from Longueuil to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and out to Granby. When the schedule allows, we come the same day; if not, always within the week. Doing it yourself means renting a truck, filling the box one armload at a time, making two or three trips to the dump and paying for each one. With us, everything leaves in a single visit, stairs included. Nothing goes straight to the garbage without being sorted first: wood, metal and cardboard head to recycling, while leftover new materials and anything still usable, doors, cabinets or windows, are offered to local organizations. All told, less than 30% of what we pick up ends up in landfill. Homeowners and contractors both come out ahead: the site stays clear, and the car gets its spot back in the driveway.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bag or pile up the debris before you arrive?
No, you don't. Leave the debris wherever the work left it, piled or loose, and the crew takes it from there. If you've already gathered the materials in one spot, great, it goes faster, but we load a tidy stack just as readily as a floor strewn with offcuts. You lift nothing and you sort nothing ahead of time.
The debris is in the basement or upstairs. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Much of the debris from a renovation sits exactly where the work happened: a basement being finished, a bathroom on the second floor. The crew brings everything up or down the stairs with straps, protects the steps and the new floors, and carries every piece out to the truck. Bathtubs, countertops and full sheets of drywall go through our arms, not yours.
Is the price based on weight or volume?
Volume. Pricing is transparent and based on the space your debris takes up in the truck, judged from your photos or on site. Labour, lifting, transport, sorting and disposal are all included, with no hidden fees. You get a free estimate within 24 hours, and the final total is set at the end, once loading is done. You always know what the amount is based on.
What happens to the wood, drywall and metal you haul away?
They get sorted before anything is disposed of. Clean wood, metal and cardboard head to recycling, and so does drywall whenever possible. Doors, windows, cabinets and new materials still in good shape are offered to local organizations instead of being thrown out. Less than 30% of what we pick up ends up in landfill. Tell us what's reusable and we set it aside as we load.
Can you pick up debris while the work is still going on?
Yes, and it's often the simplest way to go. A pickup between two phases keeps the site safe and stops the pile from growing until it blocks the doorway. We agree on a window, arrive on time, load without getting in the way of the trades at work and leave. When the schedule allows, we come the same day; otherwise, within the week. For a contractor, that means a clear site for the next trade.
